Our take on the Viking Pureglide Pro 3-Ply Nonstick Cookware Set

The Viking PureGlide Pro is a 10-piece cookware set built on 3-ply stainless steel clad construction with a nonstick interior. The set includes two frypans (one 9.5 in) plus saucepans, a saute pan and a stockpot with lids. It targets cooks who want even heating from a clad base without giving up easy release. Viking's PureGlide Pro line sits above basic nonstick sets in build quality.

Questions and answers

Is the Viking PureGlide Pro set worth it?
It is a reasonable buy if you want clad even heating and nonstick release in one purchase. If you rarely cook delicate foods, a stainless-only set will outlast it.
Can I use metal utensils on it?
No. The nonstick interior scratches with metal tools. Use silicone, wood or plastic to protect the coating.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is the safer choice. Dishwasher detergent and heat degrade nonstick coatings faster, so wash by hand to extend the set's life.
What is included in the 10-piece set?
It includes two frypans (one 9.5 in), saucepans, a saute pan and a stockpot with matching lids, for 10 pieces total.
Does it work on induction cooktops?
The 3-ply stainless construction is designed for clad heating, but confirm induction compatibility on the packaging before buying, since not every PureGlide Pro piece is rated for it.
When is the price lowest?
Cookware sets like this tend to drop during holiday sales and end-of-season kitchen events. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
What do buyers say about the Viking Pureglide Pro 3-Ply Nonstick Cookware Set?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 61 ratings.
