Is 720p good enough for a 32-inch TV?

At 32 inches, 720p is watchable from about 5 feet away, but text and fine detail look softer than on a 1080p set of the same size. If you sit close or watch a lot of sports, a 1080p model is worth the extra.

Does it need a streaming stick?

No. It has built-in smart apps over Wi-Fi, so Netflix and similar services work without extra hardware. A stick is only useful if an app you want is missing.

Can I use it with Alexa?

Yes, it supports Amazon Alexa, so you can control basic functions by voice with an Echo device. It does not have its own microphone.

How many devices can I plug in?

It has two HDMI ports, enough for a console and a streaming box, plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless sources. There is no HDMI 2.1, so it is not aimed at next-gen consoles.

Is it good for gaming?

Only for casual play. The 60 Hz panel and 720p resolution limit it, and it lacks the low-latency features serious gamers look for.

Our take on the Vizio 32" 720p Smart HDTV

The Vizio 32" 720p Smart HDTV is a small LED set with a 1366 x 768 panel, a 60 Hz refresh rate and a 178-degree viewing angle. It runs smart apps over Wi-Fi, works with Amazon Alexa, and has Bluetooth plus two HDMI ports. It is a budget second-room TV rather than a main-screen set, since 720p is below the 1080p and 4K resolution of most modern TVs.
