Is the VonShef glass storage set worth it?

It is a low-cost way to move meal prep from plastic to glass. If you need large portions or leak-proof lids for commuting, a bigger set with locking lids may suit you better.

Are the lids leak-proof?

The listing does not describe the lids as leak-proof or locking. Treat them as everyday covers for fridge and freezer storage, not for carrying soup in a bag.

Can these containers go in the oven or microwave?

Oven and microwave safety is not stated for this set. Check the packaging or VonShef's instructions before heating food in the glass bases.

How much food fits in the set?

The set is listed at 56 oz total capacity across the containers. That is roughly seven cups, so it suits single portions and small leftovers rather than big batch cooking.

Are the containers dishwasher and freezer safe?

Yes. The glass bases are listed as dishwasher safe and freezer safe, and the material is BPA-free.

When is the best time to buy it?

Glass storage sets usually drop during back-to-school and January organization sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
