Our take on the Vorene 70-in Mid-Century TV Stand with Tambour Doors and Drawers

The Vorene 70-in Mid-Century TV Stand is a brown engineered-wood media console with tambour doors and drawers, sized for large TVs and long wall runs. The tambour doors slide rather than swing, so it fits tighter against walls and corners. At $212.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • 70-inch width suits large TVs and fills a long wall

  • Drawers add closed storage beyond open shelves

  • Under $215 for a wide console is a low entry price
Cons

Questions and answers

Is $212.99 a good price for this TV stand?
It is the only new price listed, $212.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge against. For a 70-inch engineered-wood console, that is a low price; compare it with similar wide stands before buying.
Will it hold a 75-inch TV?
A 70-inch stand is wide enough for most 75-inch TVs, whose feet usually sit well inside that span. Check your TV's foot spacing and weight, since the listing gives no top weight capacity.
What are tambour doors?
Tambour doors are made of narrow slats that slide along a track instead of swinging out. They save floor space in front of the unit, but the track needs to stay clean to slide smoothly.
What is it made of?
It is engineered wood with a brown finish. That keeps the price down, but it is less durable than solid wood at corners and joints.
Does it need assembly?
Yes, flat-pack assembly is required. A 70-inch console is easier to build with a second person, especially when lifting the assembled frame.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new price is listed, $212.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026. Watch for furniture sales around major holidays, when wide consoles often get marked down.
