W.L. Weller 12 Year is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, honoring William Larue Weller, a pioneering nineteenth-century whiskey merchant credited with popularizing the use of wheat in place of rye as the secondary grain for a softer, smoother bourbon. This expression is aged a full twelve years, far longer than most wheated bourbons, for exceptional depth and smoothness. The 750ml bottle is a distinguished pour for the wheated-bourbon enthusiast.
