Our take on the Walfisk ET-7 Electric Bike

The Walfisk ET-7 is a full-suspension electric bike built around a 3000W brushless motor with 200 Nm of torque and a 60V 45Ah battery. Walfisk claims up to 100 miles of range and a 50 MPH top speed, figures that put it closer to a light electric motorcycle than a commuter ebike. It rolls on 20-inch tires that are 5.0 inches wide with anti-puncture thickening, and it weighs 154 lb. No current store price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Best forRiders who want motorcycle-like speed and torqueOff-road and rough-terrain useHeavy riders wanting a full-suspension platformBuyers who value range over light weight
Pros
  • 3000W motor with a claimed 200 Nm of torque
  • 60V 45Ah battery, up to 100 miles claimed
  • Full suspension suits rough and wet terrain
  • 5.0-inch-wide anti-puncture tires add grip and flat resistance
  • Front turn signals improve visibility in traffic
  • Cargo rack rated for 180 lb
Cons
  • 154 lb is very heavy to lift, store or transport
  • 50 MPH top speed is illegal on most bike paths and many roads
  • 20-inch fat tires and long 72.8-inch footprint make it awkward in tight spaces
  • No listed pedal-assist gearing details, so pedaling a 154 lb bike will be hard work
  • High power and weight mean higher insurance, tire and brake costs

Questions and answers

Is the Walfisk ET-7 legal to ride on public roads?
A 50 MPH top speed and 3000W motor exceed the limits for Class 1-3 ebikes in most US states, so it is generally treated as a moped or motorcycle. Check your state's registration, license and helmet rules before buying.
How far can it really go on a charge?
Walfisk claims up to 100 miles from the 60V 45Ah battery. Expect much less at high speed or on hills, since range drops sharply as you approach the 50 MPH top speed.
Can one person lift or carry it?
At 154 lb, no. Plan on a ground-level garage or ramp, and use a hitch carrier rated well above that weight rather than a trunk rack.
What size rider does it fit?
It is a full-size adult bike with a 72.8-inch length and 20-inch wheels. The 180 lb cargo rack limit applies to the rack, not the rider, but confirm the rider weight limit with Walfisk before ordering.
Does it come with pedals and a charger?
The listing does not spell out the box contents. Ask the seller to confirm the charger, pedals and any tools before you buy.
When is the best time to buy?
Watch the price history on this page. Large ebikes often see discounts around spring sales and Black Friday, and the comparison shows every store's current price.
