Is a mattress included?

No. The listing is the frame only, so you need a twin mattress separately. A standard twin mattress fits.

What mattress thickness works best?

A twin mattress around 8 to 10 inches thick sits well inside the frame. Very thick mattresses can sit above the upholstered sides.

Does it work as a sofa during the day?

Yes. The upholstered back and arms make it usable as seating, and it converts to a bed by clearing the cushions and adding bedding.

How hard is assembly?

Most owners manage it in an hour or two with a helper and the included hardware. A screwdriver and a second pair of hands make it easier.

Is it good for a guest room?

It is a common pick for guest rooms and small apartments because it seats people by day and sleeps one person at night. It is not a substitute for a queen bed for couples.

When is the price likely to be lowest?

Furniture like this tends to dip during major sales events and at the end of the year. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the Walker Edison Twin Wood Daybed Frame

The Walker Edison Twin Wood Daybed Frame is a twin-size daybed built on a solid wood frame with an upholstered back and sides, so it works as a sofa by day and a bed at night. It suits guest rooms, home offices and small apartments where one piece has to do two jobs. The upholstered panels soften the look compared with an all-wood frame, and the twin size keeps the footprint modest. It is a frame-only piece, so the mattress is bought separately.
