Our take on the Wellfor Pre-lit Pencil Artificial 5 ft

The Wellfor Pre-lit Pencil is a 5-foot artificial Christmas tree with a slim, narrow profile and built-in multicolor lights. Its PVC branches are designed for tight spaces like apartments, hallways and entryways where a full-width tree won't fit. At $91.20 at Lowe's as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forSmall apartments and condosHallways and entrywaysShoppers who want lights already attachedSecond tree for a bedroom or office
Pros
  • Slim pencil shape fits narrow corners and tight floor plans
  • Lights come pre-strung, so no separate light purchase or wrapping
  • 5 ft height works under standard 8 ft ceilings
  • PVC construction keeps it light and easy to move
  • Multicolor lights give a classic, festive look
Cons
  • Only one store prices it new, so there is little price competition
  • Pencil trees have less room for large or many ornaments
  • Pre-lit strands can fail and are harder to replace than separate lights
  • PVC branches look less realistic than PE-molded tips

Questions and answers

Is $91.20 a good price for this tree?
It is the only new price we track for this tree as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other 5 ft pre-lit pencil trees, which often sell in the $60 to $120 range.
How wide is a 5 ft pencil tree?
Pencil trees typically measure 12 to 18 inches across at the base. Check the listed diameter before buying if floor space is tight.
Does it come with lights included?
Yes. The tree is pre-lit with multicolor lights, so you do not need to buy or string separate strands.
Can I use it outdoors?
It is built for indoor display. PVC branches and pre-installed lights are not usually rated for wet or windy outdoor conditions.
How many ornaments will it hold?
The narrow profile holds fewer ornaments than a full tree of the same height. Plan on lighter, smaller decorations and skip oversized pieces.
When is it cheapest?
Artificial trees usually drop after Christmas and in early November sales. Watch the price history for a dip below the current $91.20.
Where is the Wellfor Pre-lit Pencil Artificial 5 ft cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $91.20, as of our latest check.
