Is the WGen11500TFc worth it for whole-home backup?

Yes, if you have a transfer switch. Its 11,500 running watts and 50A outlet can carry a furnace, refrigerator, well pump and lights at once, and tri-fuel lets you run it on a home natural gas line.

How does it differ from the WGen11500DFc?

The DFc is dual-fuel, gasoline and propane only. The TFc adds natural gas, which is the main reason to pay more for it.

How long does it run on a tank?

Up to 19 hours on 9.5 gallons of gasoline at half load. Expect shorter runs on propane or natural gas, and less time under heavy load.

Can it power sensitive electronics?

Yes. Total harmonic distortion is under 5%, which is clean enough for computers, TVs and phones, though it is not an inverter generator.

Can I buy it in California?

No. It is not CARB-compliant, so it cannot be sold or registered in California.

What comes in the box?

The generator, a remote start key fob, a handle, never-flat wheels, a lift bracket and a fuel gauge. A transfer switch and cords are sold separately.
