Is the Nori bed worth it over a cheaper metal frame?

If you want solid wood and a headboard in one purchase, yes. A metal frame costs less but usually needs a separate headboard and looks more utilitarian.

Do I need a box spring with this bed?

No. It is a platform bed, so a mattress sits directly on the slats.

How much clearance is under the bed?

The frame is 14 inches tall, which leaves roughly a foot of space under the rails for low storage bins.

What mattress size does it fit?

The Nori is sold in standard mattress sizes, so match the bed size to your mattress. Check the listing for the size you are ordering.

How hard is assembly?

Owners describe it as a two-person job because the wood panels are heavy. Budget an hour or two and have a screwdriver and hex key ready.

When is the price lowest?

Bed frames from this brand tend to dip during major holiday sales and back-to-school events. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Winston Porter Nori 14" Solid Wood Bed with Headboard

The Winston Porter Nori is a 14-inch solid wood platform bed with an integrated headboard, sold as a storage bed. The 14-inch height leaves room underneath for bins or boxes, and the solid wood frame is a step up from the particleboard used in most beds at this level. It is an adult bed aimed at shoppers who want a simple, sturdy frame without a box spring.
