Our take on the Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.3 Over-Ear Earphones with Earhooks

These are budget wireless earbuds with flexible earhooks that loop over the ear, aimed at workouts and running. They use Bluetooth 5.3, 13mm drivers, touch controls and an IPX7 water rating, and the charging case holds 500mAh for extra charges beyond the 8 hours per charge. The 2.9 out of 5 rating from 107 ratings is weak, so expect sound and fit to be hit or miss. No current store price was provided, so compare live listings before buying.

Best forRunners and gym users who want hooks that stay putBuyers on a tight budgetPeople who sweat heavily or train outdoors in rainAnyone who prefers touch controls over buttons
Pros
  • Earhooks hold the buds in place during movement
  • IPX7 rating survives sweat and heavy rain
  • Bluetooth 5.3 with one-step pairing
  • 13mm drivers give a fuller low end than small 6mm buds
  • USB-C charging, about 1 hour to refill
  • 500mAh case adds several extra charges
Cons
  • 2.9 out of 5 from 107 ratings is a poor average
  • CVC 8.0 is call-noise software, not active noise cancellation
  • 8 hours per charge is average; case capacity is modest
  • Over-ear hooks make them bulky for sleeping or under helmets
  • Touch controls on hooked buds are easy to trigger by accident

Questions and answers

Are these really noise cancelling?
No. CVC 8.0 is a call-noise-reduction profile for the microphone, not active noise cancellation. They do not block ambient sound the way ANC earbuds do.
Can I swim with them?
IPX7 means they survive splashes and brief immersion, but they are not designed for swimming. Chlorine and pool water can still damage them over time.
How many charges does the case give?
The case holds 500mAh, which typically adds roughly three to four full charges on top of the 8 hours per charge. Actual count depends on volume.
Do they work with iPhones and Android?
Yes. Bluetooth 5.3 works with both, and one-step pairing handles previously paired devices. Touch controls and the mic work the same on either platform.
Are they worth it over plain in-ear buds?
Only if you need the hooks to keep buds in during exercise. For sound quality and comfort at rest, standard in-ear buds usually do better.
