Is this worth it for the statue alone?

If you want a large Ragnaros figure, yes. The statue is the main draw, and the prints and mounts are extras. At inflated aftermarket prices, compare it against standalone Blizzard statues first.

Do I need the base game to use the 30 days of game time?

You need a Battle.net account and a WoW subscription-ready account. The 30 days apply as game time once redeemed. The game client itself is a free download.

Are the mounts usable on both factions?

No. The Alabaster Stormtalon is for Alliance characters and the Alabaster Thunderwing is for Horde. Each is bound to your account once claimed.

The Ragnaros statue, eight fine art prints, a code for 30 days of game time and the two Alabaster mounts, plus collector's packaging. No disc is included.

How big is the statue and the box?

The statue is over 10 inches tall. The full package measures about 19.7 by 17.7 by 11.8 inches, so set aside real shelf or floor space.

It launched at retail in October 2019 and sold out at most stores. It is now mostly an aftermarket item, so prices track resale listings rather than store sales.

Our take on the World Of Warcraft: 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition

The World of Warcraft 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition is a 2019 boxed set for PC that pairs a 10+ inch Ragnaros statue with eight frameable fine art prints and 30 days of game time. It also includes the Alabaster Stormtalon mount for Alliance characters and the Alabaster Thunderwing for Horde. It is a display piece and subscription starter rather than a game disc, since modern WoW is downloaded and played through Battle.net. The box is large at roughly 19.7 by 17.7 by 11.8 inches, so plan shelf or desk space before buying.
