Our take on the Woudy 7 Inch 2 DIN Wireless CarPlay Android Auto MP5 Player Car Radio with WIFI, Portable

The Woudy is a 7-inch double-DIN head unit with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and two USB ports. Its 1024x600 resistive touchscreen and 45 W output are basic for the price class, and the 720p claim sits above the panel's native resolution. No price was given for this listing, so compare it against other 2-DIN wireless CarPlay radios before buying.

Buyers who still use USB drives and MP3 files
Pros
  • Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, no cable needed for connection
  • Two USB ports for charging and media
  • Standard 7.75 x 4.09 in faceplate fits many double-DIN dashes
  • Bluetooth, FM radio and MP3/MP4/WAV playback built in
  • 45 W x 4 output is enough for stock speakers
Cons
  • Resistive touchscreen feels dated and needs firmer presses
  • Native resolution is 1024x600, not true 720p
  • Single tuner preset is unusually limited for radio use
  • No listed support for wired CarPlay fallback or rear camera input
  • Generic brand means little documentation and unclear firmware updates

Questions and answers

Is wireless CarPlay reliable on this unit?
Wireless CarPlay works over the built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, but 2.4 GHz only can suffer interference in dense traffic. Expect occasional reconnects; a USB cable is the usual fallback.
Will it fit my car?
It uses a specific double-DIN fitment with a 7.75 x 4.09 in faceplate. Check your dash opening and whether your car needs a separate harness or fascia adapter before ordering.
Is the screen really 720p?
The panel's native resolution is 1024x600, so it is not a true 720p display. The 720p figure refers to video playback support, not screen sharpness.
Does it support a backup camera?
No rear camera input is listed in the specs. Confirm with the seller before assuming you can add one.
What's in the box?
The listing does not detail box contents. Expect the head unit and wiring, but verify whether a harness, GPS antenna or remote is included.
When is it cheapest?
No price history is available for this listing. Compare against other 2-DIN wireless CarPlay units and buy when it undercuts them.
