Is the Wyze Window Camera worth it?

If you want to watch outside without mounting anything outdoors, yes. At $26.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it costs less than most outdoor cameras, but expect reflections through glass and a power cord to an indoor outlet.

Can it really see through a window at night?

Night vision works through glass, but the infrared LEDs can reflect off the pane and wash out the image. Turn off the camera's IR and rely on outside light, or place it close to the glass, for a cleaner night picture.

Does it need a subscription?

No. It records 24/7 to a microSD card, which you buy separately. Cloud storage is optional through Wyze's subscription plans.

The camera, a window mount and a 5V/1A power adapter. You need to supply your own microSD card for local recording.

Does it work with Alexa and Google?

Yes. It supports Alexa, Google Assistant, Google Home and IFTTT, so you can view the feed on compatible smart displays and build automations.
