Is the C400DN worth it for a small office?

Yes if you mainly print color documents in volume and already have wired networking. It is fast at 36 ppm and duplexes automatically. If you also need scanning or copying, a multifunction model makes more sense.

Does it print double-sided automatically?

Yes. Duplex printing is built in, so two-sided jobs need no manual flipping.

Can I print from a phone or over Wi-Fi?

Not directly. The C400DN connects over Ethernet only, so phones and laptops need to be on the same wired network, typically through a router or access point.

What paper sizes and weights does it take?

It handles media up to 8.5 x 14 in, including letter, legal and A4. Maximum print width is 8.5 in and maximum length is 14 in.

What comes in the box?

The printer itself. Toner cartridges are the consumable type, and starter yields vary, so check the cartridge included before relying on it for a big first job.

When is the price lowest?

Laser printer prices tend to dip during back-to-school and end-of-quarter office-supply sales. Check the price history chart on this page before buying.
