Is the Xiaomi Smartchoice FX Pro 55 worth it?

It is a solid value pick if you want QLED color and Fire TV in one set at 55 inches. Compare its live price against TCL and Hisense QLED Fire TV models before buying, since those are its closest rivals.

Does it run Fire TV or Android TV?

It runs Fire TV, Amazon's platform, with the Alexa voice remote. That means the Amazon app store rather than Google Play, so check that your must-have apps are available.

Is it good for gaming?

It handles 4K console output, but it is a 60Hz-class LED set without the advanced HDMI 2.1 features found on premium gaming TVs. Casual console play is fine; competitive gamers should look higher.

Do I need a soundbar?

Most owners of slim budget TVs like this one add a soundbar for movies. The built-in speakers are fine for news and casual viewing but thin for action films.

What size room suits a 55-inch TV?

A 55-inch set suits viewing distances of roughly 6 to 9 feet, which covers most living rooms and bedrooms. It is a common upgrade size from 43- to 50-inch sets.

Xiaomi TVs typically drop during major sale events and festive periods. Set a price alert on the comparison page and buy when the price falls below its recent range.

Our take on the Xiaomi 55-inch Smartchoice FX Pro 4K QLED Fire TV (L55MB-FPIN)

The Xiaomi Smartchoice FX Pro is a 55-inch 4K QLED TV running Amazon's Fire TV operating system instead of Xiaomi's own PatchWall. The QLED panel adds a quantum-dot layer for wider color and higher brightness than a plain LED set, and Fire TV brings Alexa voice search and the full Amazon app store. It sits in Xiaomi's value tier, so expect strong picture specs for the money rather than premium build or audio. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison before deciding.
