Is the Xkj 750W e-bike worth it?

Only if the low price matters more than reliability. The 2.9 out of 5 rating and lack of NRTL certification mean you should expect to check the brakes, battery and bolts yourself before riding hard.

How fast does it go and what class is it?

It is a Class 1 bike with a 20 mph top assisted speed. The motor only helps while you pedal, so it is legal on most bike paths and needs no license.

What is the real range on a charge?

Xkj claims up to 40 miles. With a 750W motor and a 12Ah battery, expect closer to 20 to 30 miles in mixed use, less on steep hills or with heavy throttle-free pedaling.

How long does the battery take to charge?

About 6 hours from empty with the included charger. The battery is removable, so you can charge it indoors.

Does it come assembled?

No. Assembly is required, typically handlebars, front wheel, pedals and brake checks. Budget for a shop tune-up if you are not comfortable adjusting brakes and gears.

The 26-inch frame and wheels suit riders roughly 5'3" to 6'1", with a 300 lb max load and a minimum age of 14. Check the standover height before buying.

Our take on the Xkj Electric Mountain Bike 750W 48V 12Ah

The Xkj Electric Mountain Bike is a budget-priced e-MTB with a 750W mid-drive motor, a 48V 12Ah battery and full front and rear suspension on a 26-inch frame. Xkj rates it for up to 20 mph and about 40 miles of range, with a 7-speed drivetrain, dual caliper brakes and a 300 lb load limit. It is a Class 1 bike, so the motor assists only while you pedal and cuts out at 20 mph. Its 2.9 out of 5 rating from 45 buyers is a warning sign for a bike in this price class.
