Is the Vaxcel Yellowstone fan worth it?

If you want a cabin-style fan with a built-in night light and matching moose decor, yes. If you need strong airflow for a big room, a plain 56-inch fan moves more air for less money.

How much air does it move?

5,070 CFM at high speed and 170 RPM, with three speeds. That is on the low side for a 56-inch fan, so it suits large rooms with mild cooling needs.

Does the light work without the remote?

Yes. The remote is optional; you can wire the fan and light to wall switches instead. The remote receiver mounts in the canopy and is easy to remove.

What bulbs does it use, and are they included?

Four 15 W night-light bulbs, included in the box. They sit behind the translucent resin cover and give a soft glow rather than bright task lighting.

What ceiling height does it need?

It is 18 inches tall with the included 6-inch downrod, so it suits high or vaulted ceilings. On a standard 8-foot ceiling it will hang low.

The fan with five reversible blades, the moose resin light cover, four 15 W bulbs, a 6-inch downrod and a hand-held remote control.

Our take on the Yellowstone 4 Light Ceiling Fan 18 Inches Tall and 56 Inches Wide

The Vaxcel Yellowstone is a 56-inch, five-blade ceiling fan with a hand-painted 3D moose scene on a translucent resin light cover. Four included 15 W bulbs glow through the cover for a soft night-light effect, and the inner light switches separately from the fan via the included remote. Airflow is modest for its size at 5,070 CFM on high, so it suits large rustic rooms where looks matter more than maximum breeze. It is a specialty lodge-style fixture, and its price reflects the decorative resin work rather than fan performance.
