Questions and answers

Is the Yoshino k40sp23 worth it?
It fits if you need 4,000W continuous with a TT-30R outlet for an RV or home backup. If your loads are small, a lighter 1,000-2,000W station costs less and is easier to move.
How does it compare with a gas generator?
It runs silent, needs no fuel and has no exhaust, but its runtime is limited by battery capacity and recharge time. A gas unit runs longer on refueling but is loud and needs ventilation.
How long does the battery last?
Yoshino rates the cells at 4,000+ charge and discharge cycles to 80% capacity. That is roughly a decade of daily cycling, though real life depends on heat and depth of discharge.
What can 4,000W run?
It can run a 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner, a microwave, or a fridge plus lights and electronics, with 6,000W peak for motor startup. Add up continuous watts and check startup surge before relying on it.
Can I charge it with solar panels?
Yes, it is a solar generator, but the panel wattage and solar input limit are not listed here. Check the solar input rating before buying panels so you don't oversize them.
How big and heavy is it?
It measures 21.4 x 10.2 x 9.4 in and weighs 53.6 lbs. Plan on two hands or a cart for moving it between rooms or vehicles.
