Is $37.99 a good price for this tree?

It is the best new price among the two stores listing it, at Amazon as of November 7, 2026. Small pre-lit 3 ft trees commonly sell in the $30 to $60 range, so this sits at the low end.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No. It runs on batteries, which lets you place it on a mantel or console away from an outlet. Expect to swap batteries a few times over the season if you leave it on daily.

How big is it really?

It stands 3 ft tall with a base about 21 inches across. That fits a tabletop or entryway but is too small to serve as a main living room tree.

The tree ships as two hinged sections plus the sleigh-shaped weighted base. No separate lights or pot are needed.

It is made for indoor use. Keep it out of rain and damp, since the battery box and wiring are not described as weatherproof.

About the YUSAZENS 3 ft Pre-Lit Fiber Optic Christmas Tree

Bring an easy, glowing holiday accent to smaller spaces with this 3 ft pre-lit fiber optic Christmas tree. It comes with 78 warm white LEDs and 8 lighting modes, plus a built-in timer to help manage daily on/off cycles. The light strand is designed so that if one bulb fails, the rest continue to shine, keeping the display bright all season. The tree has a full, realistic look with PVC/PE branch tips, frosted snow accents, pine cones, and red berries. Its compact size makes it a good fit for tabletops, mantels, entryway consoles, or covered porches, and it offers the look of a natural spruce without dropped needles or watering. A sleigh-shaped weighted base adds stability and a festive touch, so you do not need an extra pot or planter. Setup takes just a few steps: connect the two hinged sections, shape the branches, and power the lights by plug, USB, or battery box. The flame-retardant, hypoallergenic materials are designed for repeat use, and the tree can be disassembled for compact storage after the season. Whether placed in a home, office, or event space, this pre-lit fiber optic tree offers a convenient way to add holiday cheer.
