Is the Zinus Green Tea mattress worth it?

For a guest bed, kid's room or tight budget, yes. It costs far less than most foam mattresses and most owners find it comfortable. If you sleep on your stomach or want firm support for years, spend more.

What thickness should I choose?

The 5 and 6 inch versions suit kids, bunks and occasional guest use. Adults sleeping nightly usually want the 8, 10 or 12 inch version for more support and a taller profile.

How long does it take to expand?

Zinus says the mattress expands within about 72 hours after unboxing. It is usable sooner, but give it a full day or two before judging the firmness.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame, adjustable base or the floor. A box spring is optional and mainly adds height.

When is the price lowest?

Twin and full sizes are the cheapest, and the 5 and 6 inch versions cost less than the 10 and 12 inch ones. The best new price was $190.34 at WoodArtSupply as of November 4, 2026.
