Our take on the ZiZZO Forte 8-Speed Folding Bicycle

The ZiZZO Forte is a 20-inch folding bike built around an aluminum alloy frame with a steel fork and an 8-speed drivetrain. It carries a 300 lb load rating, which is high for a folder, and folds to roughly 31 by 27 by 13 inches with a magnetic closure that holds the halves together. At 28 lbs it is light enough to carry up stairs but not featherweight. The best new price is $599.99 at ZiZZO bicycles as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no discount to compare against right now.

Pros
  • 300 lb load capacity is well above most 20-inch folders
  • Aluminum frame keeps weight to 28 lbs
  • 8 speeds handle hills better than single-speed folders
  • Magnetic closure keeps the folded bike together when carried
  • 20-inch wheels roll more smoothly than 16-inch folders
Cons
  • Rigid fork and frame pass road buzz straight to the rider
  • Only one store sells it new, so price shopping is limited
  • Folds larger than 16-inch folders, which matters on crowded transit
  • Steel fork adds weight versus an all-aluminum build

Questions and answers

Is the ZiZZO Forte worth $599.99?
At $599.99 at ZiZZO bicycles as of November 4, 2026, it is priced in line with 8-speed aluminum folders. The 300 lb capacity and 28 lb weight are the main reasons to pick it over cheaper single-speed folders.
How does it compare with a 16-inch folder?
The 20-inch wheels roll over potholes and curb cuts more smoothly and hold speed better on longer commutes. The trade-off is a larger folded package, about 31 by 27 by 13 inches.
Can it carry a heavy rider or cargo?
ZiZZO rates it to 300 lbs, which covers most heavier riders plus a loaded rear rack. Check that any rack you add is rated for the load you plan to carry.
Does it come with a rack or fenders?
The listed build is the bike itself; racks, fenders and lights are typically added separately. Confirm the exact included parts with the seller before ordering.
Is it good for hills?
The 8-speed drivetrain gives a low enough gear for moderate climbs, and the small wheels help off the line. Steep, long climbs will still work you harder than on a full-size bike.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition. Watch for ZiZZO's own seasonal sales rather than expecting a lower price elsewhere.
