Is the Zojirushi BB-CEC20 worth it?

If you bake often and want even, full-size loaves, its twin-paddle design and build quality justify the price. Casual bakers may find a cheaper single-paddle machine enough.

How big a loaf does it make?

It bakes up to a 2 lb loaf. The pan is horizontal, so loaves come out long and tall rather than round.

Does it have a gluten-free setting?

The basic menu lists 3 programs, and gluten-free is not one of them. You can still use gluten-free mixes on the standard bake cycle, but results vary.

Can I set it the night before?

Yes. The 13-hour timer lets you load ingredients at night and have bread ready in the morning.

What comes in the box?

The breadmaker, a measuring cup and spoon, and an instruction manual with recipes. The kneading paddles are installed in the pan.

Our take on the Zojirushi BB-CEC20

The Zojirushi BB-CEC20 is a 2-pound home breadmaker with a 700 W motor, a viewing window, an LCD display and a 13-hour timer, plus jam and compote modes. Its twin-paddle horizontal pan is the main draw: it bakes tall, even loaves and handles whole-grain doughs better than single-paddle machines. It is large and heavy at 17 by 8.5 inches and 19 lb, so it needs dedicated counter space. The best new price is $369.99 at Abt Electronics as of November 7, 2026, the only new listing found.
