Questions and answers

Is it worth $49.95?
At $49.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it costs more than most hand graters. It earns the price if you shred cheese often and want five blade styles in one tool. For occasional grating, a box grater is cheaper.
How does it compare with a box grater?
The crank does the work, so shredding a block of cheese takes less wrist effort. A box grater is simpler, has no parts to lose and handles soft cheese better.
Can it grate soft cheese?
Hard and semi-hard cheeses work best. Soft or warm cheese tends to clog the drum, so chill it first and grate in short bursts.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes. The hopper and the five stainless steel blades are dishwasher safe. Wash the crank and body by hand to protect the plastic.
What comes in the box?
The grater body with crank handle and five interchangeable stainless steel blades for shredding, slicing and julienne. Check the listing for the exact blade set.
When is it cheapest?
Only two stores list it new, so the price moves little. Watch for kitchenware sales around November and December, when rotary graters are often discounted.
