Best 15-inch Windows laptops under $200

Top pick: the HP 15.6" Full HD laptop. It's the only one here that ticks all three boxes — 15.6-inch 1080p screen, Windows, and a backlit keyboard — and its Ryzen 5 with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD is the most capable setup of the group. The catch: it's sold by a single furniture store, so stock and support are thin.

Who the others suit:

• Acer Aspire Lite 15.6" — a Windows 15-incher for light schoolwork and browsing; 4GB RAM is the weak point, and the backlit keyboard isn't confirmed.
• Acer Chromebook 315 — cheapest 15.6" FHD option, but it runs Chrome OS, not Windows, so it only works if you're flexible on the OS.

Nothing else I found under this cap has a backlit keyboard.
