Best 60-inch smart TVs

Top pick: Philips 60" QLED 4K Google TV (60PQL7456/F7). QLED panel, 4K, Google TV built in, and a strong 4.4/5 from over 1,600 ratings — the safest all-rounder for movies and everyday streaming.

Also worth a look:

• Philips 60" QLED Roku TV (60PQL7656/F7) — same QLED picture, but Roku's interface if you prefer it to Google TV.
• Samsung 60" Q60B QLED — the pick if you want Samsung's styling and QLED colour, though it's rated lower by buyers.
• LG 60" 4K LED — a straightforward 4K smart set if you mainly want LG's webOS apps.

Most 60-inch sets are 4K LED/QLED; at this size, panel type and the smart platform matter more than brand.
