Best air purifiers for large rooms under $100

Top pick: FRESHDEW AP401 — the strongest air mover here by a wide margin (247 CFM CADR, rated to 2,500 sq ft), so it actually turns over the air in a big living room rather than just humming in a corner. It's the one I'd buy for a large space.

Who the others suit:

• Medify MA-14 — the safe, well-reviewed choice (4.8 from 450 ratings) if you'd rather have a known brand; coverage is more modest.
• TCL Breeva A3 — solid H13 filtration and a five-stage filter for a smaller outlay.
• Levoit Core 300-P — best for a bedroom or office; its 141 CFM is light for a true large room.
• AromaRoom H14 — quiet (22 dB) and cheap, but treat the 1,800 sq ft claim loosely.

Skip anything rated under ~300 sq ft if the room is genuinely big.
