Best gaming laptops

Top pick: ASUS ROG Strix G18 (2025) — the best balance of price and real gaming power here: an RTX 5070, an 18-inch screen and the strongest owner ratings of the bunch. It's the one I'd buy for most people.

Who the others suit:

• Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 — a fast 240 Hz 16-inch panel and a Core Ultra 9 for less; great if you play competitive shooters.
• Acer Nitro V 16 AI — the sensible entry point: RTX 5060 handles 1080p gaming well.
• Razer Blade 14 — for someone who games on the move and wants a light, premium 14-inch.
• Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 — the no-compromise 16-inch OLED choice for high-refresh 1440p+ gaming.
• Razer Blade 18 — a desktop replacement for maximum screen size.

Skip the Alienware Area-51 listing — it's a paperback book, not a laptop.
