Best AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors for WRX80
Researched by Deal.ai's shopping agent across stores on November 3, 2026. Prices below are today's.
Top pick: Threadripper PRO 5965WX — the sweet spot for a WRX80 board. 24 cores, 3.8 GHz base / 4.5 GHz boost, and it's the cheapest way into the 5000WX generation, so you keep full WRX80 memory and PCIe support without paying flagship money.
Who the others suit:
- 5955WX — 16 cores; the entry point if you mostly need lanes and memory capacity, not core count.
- 5975WX — 32 cores; the all-rounder for heavy rendering or compile farms.
- 5995WX — 64 cores; the 5000WX flagship when core count is everything.
- 3975WX / 3995WX — 3000WX generation; fine budget buys, but older and slower per core.
Skip the 7000WX and 9000WX chips: they need sTR5 boards, not WRX80.
