Best black rocking chairs

Top pick: highwood Lehigh Rocking Chair — a black, all-weather chair built for a porch that stays out year-round. It's the sturdiest-feeling of the group, needs only light assembly, and holds up to sun and rain without repainting.

Who the others suit:

• FOOWIN Patio Slat set of 2 — two matching black chairs for a couple or a front porch pair.
• KINGYES set of 2 — a budget-friendly pair if you want two chairs without spending much.
• LOYALICE HDPE — a single chair with a very high weight capacity and a wood-grain look.
• RIAFUN HDPE — a middle-ground single chair, all-weather and simple.
• Red Barrel Studio solid wood — traditional wood look indoors or on a covered porch; note the card's photo shows another colour.
• 2-Person glider — if you'd rather share one seat than rock solo.

Skip the camping-style rockers and the pre-owned Cracker Barrel chair if you want a true black porch chair.
