Best car vinyl wrap films

Start with 3M 2080 Gloss Black — it's the safest first wrap: a cast film that stretches and conforms around mirrors and bumpers, forgiving of a beginner's squeegee work, and the most-reviewed of the bunch. Gloss hides small install flaws best.

Who the others suit:

• 3M 2080 Satin or Matte Black — same film, if you want a factory-flat look; matte shows every finger mark and stretch line, so it's less forgiving.
• Avery SW900 Matte Black — a strong alternative cast film with a loyal following; pick it if you prefer Avery's colour range.
• KPMF K75400 Matte Perfect Black — the premium-feel choice for a deep, even matte.
• 3M 1080 Brushed Aluminum — for accents (roof, mirrors, trim) rather than a full car.
• RockRose 60 in x 20 ft roll — a budget full-car roll; fine for a first practice car, but expect less conformability.

Skip the small carbon-fiber and 30 cm sheets — they're trim/decal film, not wrap for panels.
