Best Chromecast with Google TV streaming devices

Top pick: Google TV Streamer (4K) — Google's replacement for the Chromecast, and the one to buy if you want the current model. It's the fastest of the bunch, with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, 4K HDR with Dolby Vision, and a box design that sits by the TV instead of dangling from the HDMI port. Reviewers call it a capable, powerful successor to the Chromecast.

Who the others suit:

• Chromecast with Google TV (4K) — the classic stick: same Google TV interface and Dolby Vision in a smaller, cheaper form, if you don't need the extra speed.
• Chromecast with Google TV (HD) — for a 1080p TV or a secondary room; caps out at 1080p HDR.
• Onn Google TV 4K Pro — a budget box with Google TV and a hands-free-friendly remote; good value if you want a box without paying Google prices.
• Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box — the cheapest way into 4K Google TV, best for a spare TV.
