Best complete TV series digital collections

Top pick: Game of Thrones — The Complete Series (box set with digital copy). It's the one that gives you both: all eight seasons on disc plus a digital copy to stream, so it travels with you and doesn't depend on one service's licence. The most complete "own it forever" answer here.

Who the others suit:

• Mad Men, The Complete Series — the prestige-drama pick, Blu-ray with a digital copy included.
• CSI: The Complete Series — sheer volume; the marathon binge for procedural fans.
• Cowboy Bebop, The Complete Series — the anime classic, and the most compact set.
• Star Trek: The Original Series — for the completist starting at the beginning.
• The Walking Dead — the longest haul, with a digital copy.
• Batman Beyond — the animated one to grab for a quick, self-contained run.

One caveat: digital copies are redeemed through the studio's service, so check the code's expiry and region before you buy.
