Best corduroy couches under $600

Top pick: OVIOS 104" L-Shape Modular Couch with Chaise — real corduroy fabric, a big chaise for lounging, and a 1,300 lb weight capacity, so it holds up better than most budget sofas. It's the one I'd buy.

Who the others suit:

• Neche 87" 3-seater — the classic corduroy sofa look in green, deep seats, best if you want a plain three-seater rather than a sectional.
• Muumblus 78" — smallest footprint and built-in USB, cup holders and pockets; good for a den or apartment.
• Midnight-Madness modular units — buy only the pieces you need and rearrange later; note the upholstery is polyester, not corduroy.
• HangSpace convertible loveseat — if you need a sleeper for guests in a tight room.
• Neche 106" U-shaped — most seating for the money if the room is large.

Skip the Actoroom, OMNIBERG, Muumblus 83.5" and Cloud picks — they aren't corduroy.
