Best extra-large sectional sofas

Top pick: the Vanress 150" modular U-shaped sectional. It's the one that truly clears your width bar at 150 inches, and the U shape wraps a big room so everyone faces each other instead of a row of backs. Corduroy, deep "cloud" seats, modular pieces you can rearrange, plus USB ports where people actually sit.

Who the others suit:

• Unbranded 150.4" L-shaped linen modular — if you'd rather have an L against two walls than a U in the middle of the room; seats eight and includes a storage ottoman.
• ZX Design 150.4" L-shaped linen modular — same footprint but with two storage ottomans, for a family that needs the hidden storage more than the extra seating flexibility.

All three are modular, so measure your doorway and stair turn before ordering — these ship in pieces but the boxes are bulky.
