Best sectional sofas

Top pick: Better Homes & Gardens Weston 107.5" Cloud Modular Sectional — the best balance of size, comfort and owner feedback in this set. It's a deep, low "cloud" style that seats a crowd, comes in three neutral covers, and the modular pieces let you reshape it when you move or rearrange.

Who the others suit:

• Solari Performance Fabric Sectional — the grown-up choice: a long, tailored piece in a spill-friendly fabric for a formal living room or a house with kids and pets.
• Oriole Modular Sectional — for someone who wants a statement: velvet, three pieces, and a much more premium feel.
• 6-Seat Modular Double Chaise — the fun pick, with a bold emerald cover and cup holders for a media or game room.
• Aukfa 108.5" Cloud Sectional — the budget route into the cloud look, if you're furnishing a first place or a rental.
• Howcool Cloud Couch 134" U-Shaped — the biggest seating for the money when you need to fit a whole family around a TV.

Skip the very cheapest U-shapes here if this is your main sofa — thinner foam and lower owner ratings tend to show up within a year or two.
