Best flannel sleeping bags under $40

Top pick: REDCAMP Cotton Flannel Rectangular Sleeping Bag — the best-balanced flannel bag here. Soft flannel lining, hollow-cotton fill rated down to about 41°F, and a 75" x 33" rectangular cut that's roomy enough to roll around in. It's the one I'd hand to most people.

Who the others suit:

• REDCAMP Hooded Cotton Flannel — if you sleep cold: a hood and a lower rating make it the warmest of the bunch.
• RedCamp Flannel (Amazon) — the simplest choice if you just want a plain rectangular flannel bag.
• FJALLNOK 50F Rectangular — for tall or restless sleepers; it's the widest and longest.
• Taotanxi Cat Envelope — a fun, lightweight pick for mild nights and kids' rooms.
• RRCSS XL Cotton Flannel — a budget extra-large option, but with very few ratings behind it.

All are cool-weather bags (roughly 40–60°F), not winter bags.
