Best household and cleaning supplies

Top pick: the Green Llama Starter Home Cleaner Kit — three reusable spray bottles with all-purpose, bathroom and glass refills, so one box covers most of a first clean and you keep refilling instead of rebuying. Highest-rated of the kits here.

Who the others suit:

• Purdy & Figg Signature Starter Kit — if you want a scented, refill-style system and a nicer look on the shelf.
• The Pink Stuff Ultimate Bundle — for stubborn marks, scuffs and baked-on grime; a paste-and-spray workhorse, not a whole-house kit.
• O-Cedar EasyWring Spin Mop & Bucket — if hard floors are the main job; the wringer keeps mopping quick.
• Swiffer Power Mop — for small spaces and fast touch-ups rather than deep mopping.
• Green Llama Expert Home Cleaner Kit — if you also want laundry and dishwasher covered in one go.

Skip the "Ultimate Starter Kit" — it's an electronics kit, not cleaning supplies.
