Best king mattresses

Top pick: Helix Midnight Luxe. A medium-firm hybrid that hits the sweet spot most couples want — enough support for back and side sleepers, enough cushioning that it doesn't feel like a board. It's the safest all-rounder here.

Who the others suit:

• Bear Elite Hybrid — if you want to choose your feel: medium, medium-firm or firm, with a breathable build for hot sleepers.
• Plank Firm Luxe — for people who genuinely like a hard bed; it's double-sided firm/extra firm.
• Titan Plus Luxe — heavier sleepers and anyone who wants a tall, sturdy coil hybrid.
• Kizreo / Zekbip king hybrids — budget bed-in-a-box picks if you'd rather spend little and replace sooner.
• Mosaic organic cotton and wool — if natural materials matter more than foam.

One caveat: some listings here are queen or California king, so confirm the size on the card before ordering.
