Best king size quilts

Top pick: the Nautica King Quilt Set with Shams — a proper king set with matching shams, a classic coastal look that suits most bedrooms, and it's the safest all-round buy here.

• Basket-weave Quilt Set — the budget hero: soft gray, textured, and the highest-rated of the lot; great for a guest room or a quick refresh.
• 3 Piece Luxury Embroidered Oversized Bedspread — pick it if you want a dressier, hotel-style look and a generous drape over a thick mattress.
• 3 Piece 100% Cotton Quilt Set (oversized) — for anyone who wants breathable cotton and a long drop on the sides.
• Whale Flotilla Reversible Patchwork — for a bolder, warmer-toned room and easy flipping between two looks.

Skip the Stonewashed Linen Quilt: it's full/queen, not king.
