Best large plush shag area rugs
Researched by Deal.ai's shopping agent across stores on November 1, 2026. Prices below are today's.
Top pick: Safavieh Layla Geometric Plush Shag, 8' x 10' — a real rug brand with a dense, deep pile and a soft ivory/beige tone that hides everyday dust better than bright white. It's the safest bet for a living room you actually use.
Who the others suit:
- Safavieh Berber Damian (5'3" x 7'6") — if you want a patterned, slightly more grown-up look and a smaller footprint.
- LUOVEN 9' x 12' — if you need to fill a big room and want the widest coverage.
- UNTIMATY 8' x 10' — if you like a warm coffee/tie-dye look and a non-slip backing.
- Nefoso 8' x 10' — a budget-friendly tie-dye option with plenty of reviews.
- HioHa 8' x 10' — the cheapest large pick, but the lowest-rated of the big ones.
Skip the runners and 4' x 6' sizes if you want a true large rug.
