Best Milwaukee cordless power tool combo kits

Top pick: Milwaukee 3697-25 M18 FUEL 5-Tool Kit. It's the sweet spot for most people — FUEL brushless tools, two XC5.0 batteries, a bag and a 5-year warranty, so you get real pro-grade power without buying tools you'll never touch.

• 3697-22 M18 FUEL 2-Tool Kit — best if you mainly need a drill and impact driver and want to spend less; the highest-rated kit here.
• M18 Compact 2-Tool Kit / 3692-22CT — for light home jobs and tight spaces; smaller batteries, less grunt.
• M12 FUEL 5-Tool Kit — for cabinet, electrical and overhead work where a lighter, smaller tool matters more than raw power.
• 8-tool and 3-tool sets — for someone starting from nothing or wanting a grinder in the mix.

Stick to one battery platform: M18 for heavy use, M12 for compact.
