Best queen-size adjustable bed bases under $500

Top pick: Beautyrest Baselogic Bronze Adjustable Base — a real adjustable base from a name brand, sold in queen and other sizes, with a wired remote and a 10-year limited warranty. It's the safest bet if you want something simple that will last.

Who the others suit:

• KOMFOTT Adjustable Bed Base with Remote — a plain, no-frills queen base if you just want the head and foot to move.
• UHOMEPRO Queen Adjustable Bed Frame — the budget route; check the shipping cost before you commit.
• GRAYELL Adjustable Bed Frames Queen — a small step up in build for a little more.
• Comfort Classic Adj Base Queen — the sturdiest of the bunch, rated for very heavy mattresses and sleepers.

Skip anything listed as full or twin — you need the queen size.
