Best Roku streaming players and sticks

Start with the Roku Streaming Stick Plus (2025) — it's the sweet spot: 4K HDR10+ and HLG, dual-band Wi-Fi and a voice remote, all in a stick that hides behind the TV. Best for most people with a 4K set.

• Roku Streaming Stick (2025) — the HD version; right for an older 1080p TV or a spare room.
• Roku Ultra — pick this if you want a wired Ethernet option and the fastest, most responsive box; best for a main living-room TV.
• Roku Express 4K+ — a small set-top box instead of a dongle, handy when HDMI ports are tight or the TV is wall-mounted.
• Roku Express — the cheapest way in, HD only, for a basic secondary TV.

Rule of thumb: 4K TV → Stick Plus or Ultra; HD TV → Streaming Stick or Express.
