Best Shark cordless vacuums for everyday cleaning

Top pick: Shark Stratos Cordless with Clean Sense IQ — the most complete everyday vacuum here. Clean Sense IQ adjusts suction to how dirty the floor is, it handles hard floors and carpets, and it's HEPA-filtered, so it suits mixed-floor homes with allergy sufferers. The trade-off is weight and a higher price than the budget picks.

Who the others suit:

• Shark PowerPro / PowerPro Pet — the all-rounder if you want strong suction and pet tools without the Stratos price; the Pet version adds the anti-tangle brush.
• Shark PowerDetect Speed — lightest and simplest for quick daily passes on hard floors and low pile.
• Shark Clean & Empty — best if emptying the bin is your least favourite chore; it docks and self-empties.
• Shark IZ362H Anti-Allergen Pet — a solid mid-range pick for pet hair and allergy households.
• Shark EveryMess — a canister, so only if you prefer a pull-along over a stick.

Skip the Freestyle Pro: it's out of stock.
