Best white fiber optic Christmas trees with color-changing bases

Top pick: the Himaly Uten 4ft fiber optic tree. It's the only white 4-footer I found that's a true fiber-optic tree, and it's the cheapest of the white ones — a good fit if you want the glow without stringing lights. Note: none of the trees I found list a color-changing base; the color change comes from the fiber-optic lights themselves.

Who the others suit:

• Northlight 4' color-changing fiber optic — if cycling colors matter most; but it's rated poorly (2 of 5 from one review).
• White pre-lit fiber optic with 120 colorful LEDs — if you want a fuller, wider white tree with lots of colored lights.
• Best Choice Products 4 ft fiber optic pine — if you'd rather have a green tree at the lowest price.

Skip the 5', 6' and 36" options — wrong height for a 48-inch spot.
