Best wireless noise-cancelling over-ear headphones under $200

Top pick: Beats Studio3 Wireless — the safest all-rounder here. Real over-ear fit, active noise cancelling, a long track record of owner ratings, and it's the one I'd hand most people first.

Who the others suit:

• JBL Tune 770NC — adaptive ANC and a comfy over-ear build if you want a mainstream brand without the Beats sound signature.
• JLab JBuds Lux ANC — the budget hero: over-ear, active ANC, 40+ hours with ANC on. Great as a second pair or for a teen.
• Sony WH-CH720N — light and easy for commuting, but listed as on-ear, so check the fit if you want cups around the ears.
• Bose QuietComfort Ultra — the best noise cancelling of the bunch, but the listing doesn't confirm wireless, so treat it as a maybe.
• Soundcore Space One / Life Q30 — cheap ANC for casual listening; the Space One's spec sheet is contradictory on fit.

Skip the no-name Bloydek models unless price is the only thing that matters.
