- Is DaVinci Resolve Studio worth paying for over the free version?
- Yes, if you need its extras. Studio adds temporal and spatial noise reduction, AI tools like Magic Mask and Voice Isolation, stereoscopic 3D, and support for more than 4K output. The free version covers editing, color, Fusion and Fairlight for most work.
- What is the difference between the activation key and the boxed Studio license?
- The activation key is a code that unlocks Studio on one machine; the boxed version is a USB dongle or card with the same license. A key needs an internet connection to activate, while the dongle works offline and can move between machines.
- Does a Resolve Studio license work on more than one computer?
- One license activates two machines at a time, and you can deactivate one to move it to another. The dongle version can be carried between computers without deactivating.
- Where is Blackmagic Design gear cheapest?
- Prices are close to fixed across authorized dealers, so the difference is usually tax and shipping. Deal.ai compares each store's price and shows the price history so you can see whether a listing is above or below its usual level.
- What is Blackmagic Design's return policy?
- Returns are handled by the store you buy from, not by Blackmagic. Check the seller's return window before ordering, and note that opened software keys are often non-refundable.
- Are there Blackmagic Design discount codes?
- Deal.ai doesn't list Blackmagic Design discount codes. It checks what Blackmagic Design products actually cost at every store, so a real markdown shows on this page as a deal as soon as it starts, and each product's page has its price history to tell a sale from its usual price.
