Paper Mate products: prices and price history
Questions and answers
- When does Paper Mate go on sale?
- Paper Mate discounts cluster around back-to-school in July and August and again in January. Retailers also clear multipacks after the school season ends. Check the price history on each product page before buying.
- Where is Paper Mate cheapest?
- Large multipacks at warehouse clubs and big-box stores usually beat single packs on price per pen. Online listings swing widely, so compare the per-unit price rather than the pack price.
- What is Paper Mate best known for?
- Erasable ink. The Erasermate line uses a rubberized tip that rubs the ink away, and the Erasable Gel Pens bring that to gel ink. Both are popular for planners, crosswords and notes that get revised.
- Do Paper Mate erasable pens smudge or fade?
- Erasable ink is not archival. It can smear on glossy paper and is not suited to legal documents or checks. Heat fades it, so keep filled pages out of hot cars.
- What is the return policy on Paper Mate pens?
- Returns follow the store you bought from, not Paper Mate. Newell does back defective pens, so contact Paper Mate support with the batch code if a pen fails early.
