Which is better for a long driveway?

The 12-pack, because you get twice the fixtures for one order. At about $3.08 per light it is also cheaper to extend coverage than buying two 6-packs.

The 6-pack is the safer bet. Its 800mAh Ni-MH battery is user-replaceable AAA, and the IP65 rating is published; the 12-pack lists neither, and its 8 ratings give little evidence either way.

Is the 12-pack worth the extra $9?

Only if you need twelve lights. You get six more fixtures for $9 more, but you trade a large review record and published specs for an unproven product.

Do both give warm white light?

Yes. Both are listed as warm white with black housings, so the color match is the same if you mix them along one path.

How many lights do I need for a walkway?

Plan roughly one light every 6 to 8 feet on each side. A 40-foot path lit on both sides needs about 10 to 12 lights, which favors the 12-pack.
